IDS was founded in 2006 with the goal of applying the principles of innovation, self-sustainability, and entrepreneurship to improve health and generate wealth in sub-Saharan Africa.

As a small team of volunteers, our primary work has been in agro-forestry & nutrition (moringa oleifera) in Swaziland with funding from Davis Projects for Peace. With dedication, a bit of luck, and a number of excellent partnerships, we've found remarkable success in that area.

Since then, we are humbly offering our services to groups working in social entrepreneurship, income generation, nutrition, and healthcare access. Our network of volunteers offer skills and experience from various fields including healthcare, engineering, marketing, and agriculture.
